This doesn't bother or offend me at all, in my opinion, this is the right way to do it.
You see, generally, in almost all the sci-fi/fantasy/horror novels I've heard of, sexual scenes and situations are put in the novels either because they fit the storyline, or they're put in there to enhance the relationship/passion between two characters. I'm wondering this because I've never read his books and I would like to know. However, I'm wondering, just how gross is Clive Barker. Now that to me sounds pretty darn sick, but it doesn't shock or offend me all that much, because pretty much I've seen/heard of every gross sex act that's out there, so nothing really surprises me that much.
